Integration Setup in ESH
In the Evatic Service Hub, on the Integrations tab, click Add integration. A list of available integration types will be shown in the Add new integration view. Locate HP Smart Device Services API and click Create on that row. The Create HP Smart Device Services integration view will be shown. Fill in the standard fields for integrations: select an Evatic database connection, add a name and description for the integration, and select a company.
For the HP Smart Device Services API URL, add the path to the HP Smart Device Services Cloud.
Provide a valid username and password. In the HP Smart Device Services Authentication section, add the API Key and API Secret provided to you by Hewlett Packard.
Now click Save to save the integration. In the Integrations view, your new integration should be listed.
Click Edit to go to the Edit integration view. Click Test connection to test connectivity to the HP Smart Device Services.
How to get access to HP Smart Device Services API
- Register for an HP Passport account at https://jac-titan.hp-webplatform.com and then open https://jac-titan.hp-webplatform.com again and sign in.
- Follow the instructions from here to get an account id and an API key
- An API secret will be provided to you by phone.
These steps will setup access to the staging stack at HP so you can start experimenting/developing. When you decide to go towards a release HP will get you setup on the production stack.
Limitations for the integration with HP Smart Device Services
- HP Smart Device Services must be set up to use basic authentication.
